November 22 was the last class of the training of webdesign of the Programa Escola da Família, in Escola Estadual Jardim Oratório in Mauá, Brazil. During the last two periods (15 and November 22) students are very committed to conclude that a small website developed (pictured below) and deserve the congratulations!
Students engaged in the development of the latest activities. Back to Front: Felipe (16), Marcio (13), Renan (19) and Tiag0 (23). For: all in a single computer
The course was launched on 08 November 2008, so it lasted a little over a year, which gave the 80 hours attended.
The modules were routed: 1 - Internet & Browsers, 2 - Image Editing, 3 - HTML and XHTML, 4 - CSS and 5 - Javascript.
Structural features: scare resources and lack of necessary materials
As a teacher I had many problems with respect to resources provided by the school: small computer room, or a little large; hindered the transit of the students and mine. I shall also the neglect of the school to use the room to store old materials, tools and electronics. I must also say that the white board available was damaged, not allowing the full use of it.
Immediately after the end of the course, the last three weeks, I was unable to use the computer room, as no computer was functioning and the noise was intense outside, since they gave lessons in poultry and time of my course.
Students to complete the course had to be locomoted the staff room and a single computer (four students) developed the work completed. Imagine my situation and theirs: I, as a volunteer willing to help the community and students interested, committed to study. Thus, the school did not contribute much to the formation of these capabilities.
There is also the students of the afternoon, in greater numbers, not as I locomotes them to use computers in the staff room. How to give lessons to them? They are still in the CSS module.
I hope this will not be discouraged. Since they are young in search of knowledge and that their need is not being supplied due to negligence of some people.
